What this site does not do
- No cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking.
- No external fonts, no embedded maps, no third-party videos, no content delivery network. Loading the page establishes no connection to third-party servers.
- No reach measurement, no visitor profiles, no passing on of data for advertising purposes.
- No registration, no user account, no newsletter.
Visiting the website (server logs)
When the page is loaded, the hosting provider automatically stores access data in log files. This usually includes the IP address, date and time of the request, the file requested, the previously visited page and information about browser and operating system.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the technically faultless operation and security of the website. This data is not combined with other data sources.
This website is hosted by S.S. NetShop Internet Services Ltd, 120 Faneromenis Avenue, Imperial Tower, 2nd Floor, 6031 Larnaca, Cyprus. The web server for our hosting service is located in the LCA1 data centre in Larnaca, Cyprus.
Access log archives in our hosting account are retained for 30 days and then deleted during the automated cleanup run. This period applies to our access log archives; it is not a statement about the provider's retention of additional security logs or backups.
Information about processing by the hosting provider is available in the NetShop ISP privacy policy. The provider also describes possible processing by support staff and suppliers outside the European Economic Area. The location of our web server therefore does not mean that all processing takes place exclusively in Cyprus.
Your privacy settings
On your first visit, a window appears at the bottom right in which you decide what may be stored. Your choice is saved under the key mdj_consent in your browser’s local storage so that we do not have to ask again on every visit. This storage is required for the function itself and is therefore exempt from consent.
Two categories are offered: statistics and external media. Neither is currently in use; nothing is measured and nothing is loaded from third parties. Your setting is stored nonetheless and will apply as soon as that changes. You can change or withdraw it at any time via the “Privacy settings” link at the foot of the page (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
This choice also never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to us. You can delete the entry at any time through your browser settings.
The entries in detail
This site sets no cookies in the technical sense. Two entries sit in your browser’s local storage:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Retention | Technology |
|---|---|---|---|---|
mdj_lang |
Remembers the language you selected | Necessary | Until you delete it | Local Storage |
mdj_consent |
Stores your choice in the privacy settings | Necessary | Until you delete it | Local Storage |
Stored language setting
If you switch between German and English at the top of the page, your choice is stored under the key mdj_lang in your browser's local storage. This keeps the site in your chosen language on your next visit.
It is not a cookie and the value is not transmitted to us; it never leaves your browser. The storage is necessary for the function you explicitly requested and therefore does not require consent (Art. 5(3) sentence 2 of Directive 2002/58/EC as transposed nationally). You can delete the entry at any time via your browser settings.
Contact enquiries
The form on the contact page does not transmit your entries to us. It merely assembles them into a message and opens your own email program with it. Only when you click send there does the message leave your computer. Until then the data remains solely with you.
If you send us a message, we process the details it contains in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry serves the initiation of a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required for that purpose and no statutory retention periods apply.
Data protection officer
We have not appointed a data protection officer. There is no obligation to do so under Art. 37(1) GDPR: we are not a public authority, and our core activity consists neither of regular and systematic monitoring of individuals on a large scale nor of large-scale processing of special categories of personal data.
Recipients and transfers to third countries
Messages sent to info@mdjamo.com, the address in our legal notice, are received and stored in our mailbox with S.S. NetShop Internet Services Ltd. The provider identified in the hosting section above processes message contents and the connection data required for delivery.
The information above about the possible involvement of support staff and service providers outside the European Economic Area also applies to processing by NetShop ISP. The provider publishes details in its privacy policy linked above.
The contact form opens a message addressed to info@mdjamo.com in your own email application. When you subsequently send it, your own email provider also processes the message under its privacy terms.
Beyond this we pass on personal data only where you have consented, where it is necessary for the performance of a contract, or where we are legally obliged to do so.
Mandatory fields and automated decisions
We need the fields marked with an asterisk in the contact form in order to process your enquiry. There is no statutory or contractual obligation to provide them; without this information, however, we cannot reply to you.
Automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, does not take place.
Your rights
You have the following rights regarding personal data concerning you:
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data. The authority responsible for us is the one at the company's seat:
